Southside Occupational High School

Southside Occupational Academy is entirely devoted to the education of students aged 15-21 who have a mild to severe cognitive disability. The current enrollment is approximately 205 students.

Our mission is to provide an instructional program that will enable students to master non-school environments and participate in the life and work of their communities. The Job Skills Focus includes food service, janitorial/housekeeping, production, and horticulture.

Lifelong learning experiences include communications, mathematics, fine arts, and socialization/personal skills. Instruction includes both in-school and off-site job related experiences.
