(TR11) A World in the Classroom: Making Sense of Seasonal Change Through Talk and Technology
This paper examines science teaching in classrooms that participated with us in an experiment on ways of integrating technology into a sixth-grade science curriculum on the earthÕs seasons. The experiment was motivated by our observation of an almost systematic dissociation of data and theory in elementary science lessons. Researchers and teachers designed a curriculum unit that included modeling and data collection components, and integrated the use of technology into these activities.
