E2E 1-Year Option

To fit different districts' needs, the Academy for Teaching Excellence offers both one-year and two-year plans for teacher professional development. The following schedule is a compressed one-year plan of workshops and online seminars.

One-Year Plan

• Workshop 1: Overview of a process for analyzing student work to inform teaching and learning. Focus will be on unpacking the standards and defining the essential understandings of the standards.
• Online Seminar 1: Analyze and reflect on essential understandings
• Workshop 2: Assessment: Evidence of understanding
• Online Seminar 2: Analyze and reflect on assessment of student work.
• Workshop 3: Instructional strategies
• Online Seminar 3: Analyze and reflect on instructional strategies.
• Workshop 4: The Assignment: Inquiry based tasks; Meatiness of the assignment
• Workshop 5: Intellectual quality of student work
• Online Seminar 5: Analyze and reflect on the intellectual quality of the assignment and student work
